Cookie policy

Every cookie this website sets, what each one does, and how to change or withdraw your choice.

Version 2026-08-21

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. Some are needed for a site to work at all — remembering that you are signed in, or that you already answered this banner. Others are used to count visitors or measure advertising, and those need your permission before they are set.

We use analytics or marketing cookies as listed below. None of them are set until you have agreed to that category, and you can change your mind at any time using the controls on this page.

2. The three categories

  • Necessary — the site cannot work without these, so they are always on. They cover your session, your cookie choice and security.
  • Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they read, where they leave. Never used to identify you.
  • Marketing — measuring whether our advertising reaches the right people.

Only the necessary category is exempt from asking you, and only because the law exempts storage that is strictly necessary for a service you asked for. We do not stretch that word: a cookie that helps us and not you is not necessary.

3. Cookies this site sets

Cookies set on teshtech.co.uk
CookieCategorySet byWhat it doesHow long it lasts
teshtech_consentNecessaryTeshTechRemembers the cookie choice you made on this banner, so we do not ask again on every page.12 months
__Host-teshtech_sessionNecessaryTeshTechKeeps you signed in to the client portal, the admin console or the Site Console. Set only after you sign in.Until you sign out, or the session expires
__Host-teshtech_configuratorNecessaryTeshTechPoints at the quote you are building, so closing the tab does not lose it. Set only once you start the price configurator, and it holds a reference — not your answers.30 days
tt_attrAnalyticsTeshTechRecords which advert, search or link brought you here, so we know which marketing works. First-party only: it carries no identifier that any other site can read.12 months

Three of these appear only when they are relevant: the sign-in cookie once you sign in to the portal, the quote cookie once you start building a price, and the attribution cookie only if you agree to analytics. On a first visit to a public page, the only cookie set is the one recording your answer to the banner.

4. Stripe's payment page

When you pay, we send you to Stripe's own secure page to enter your card. That is a different website, and Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention. We cannot read them and our banner does not control them — Stripe's notice on that page does. We load no Stripe code on this website at all, which is why none of their cookies appear in the table above.

5. Change your choice

This shows what you have currently agreed to, and changes it immediately. Withdrawing consent is exactly as easy as giving it.

6. Controlling cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies for a site, and that overrides anything set here. Blocking the necessary ones will sign you out and lose a quote you were part-way through, but nothing will break permanently.

If you delete our cookies, that includes the record of your choice — so the banner will ask again on your next visit.
