Terms of service
The agreement between you and TeshTech when you order a website, a software project or a care plan.
Version 2026-09-02
1. Who we are
TeshTech builds fixed-price websites and software, and looks after them afterwards. These terms apply when you place an order with us, whether through the price configurator on this site or from a written quote.
- Who we are
- TeshTech Ltd
- VAT number
- GB517507885
- Contact
- hello@teshtech.co.uk
Not yet recorded: company number, registered address. These are required on this page and will be published as soon as they are registered.
2. What forms our agreement
Your order, the quote it was built from, and these terms together form the agreement. Where a written statement of work exists for your project, it takes precedence over these terms on anything it covers.
When you place an order you tick a box confirming you accept these terms. We record which version you accepted, when, and from which IP address. That version stays readable at this address: the terms may change for later orders, but yours are the ones you accepted.
A quote is valid for the period stated on it. Prices shown on this website exclude VAT, which is added at the prevailing rate.
3. Payment
| Package | Schedule |
|---|---|
| Launch | 50% deposit on order, 50% on launch approval |
| Growth | 40% deposit, 30% on design sign-off, 30% on launch approval |
| Commerce | 40% deposit, 30% on design sign-off, 30% on launch approval |
| Platform | 30% on contract, then milestone-based per the statement of work |
- Work does not start until the deposit has cleared.
- The deposit is non-refundable after 7 days.
- The final balance is due before we switch your live domain over. Your site is deployed to a staging address for approval first.
- Late payment: statutory interest at Bank of England base rate plus 8%, under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, applied after 30 days. We send reminders at 3, 7, 14 and 21 days first.
- Care plans are billed monthly in advance to a card you keep on file.
If you are ordering as a sole trader or an individual rather than for a company, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. We intend to ask you to waive it so that we can start work immediately, but we are not asking that yet — so for now the right stands, and nothing on this page removes it. Tracked as OQ-49, and OQ-32 for the wording.
4. What we need from you
We ask for your content, images, brand assets and access to any accounts we need at the start. Our delivery timeline starts when your brief is complete, not when your deposit clears: waiting on content is the most common reason a project slips, and a timeline you can pause by not replying is not a timeline we can promise.
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
5. Flexible scheduling
If you chose flexible scheduling in the configurator, you paid 5% less than the standard price in exchange for letting us choose when your project starts. That is a bounded commitment, not an open one, and this is all of it.
| We start within | 60 days of your brief being complete |
|---|---|
| Notice of your start date | 14 days, in writing, in your portal and by email |
| Build time once we start | Unchanged — your normal package timeline applies |
| Changing your mind | You can move to standard scheduling at any time before we start, by paying back the 5% |
| If we have not started by day 60 | You keep the 5% and your order moves to standard terms, with a start date agreed within 7 days |
The last row is the one that matters. If we miss day 60 you do not have to ask, chase or claim: the reduction is yours to keep and you are on our standard terms from that day. We record the deadline against your order when your brief is submitted, and we are the ones who have to watch it.
On a Launch package, the seven-day build promise runs from the start date we agree with you, not from the day your brief is complete.
Our automatic day-45 and day-60 checks are built but are not yet running on a schedule, so for now the deadline is watched by a person rather than by a machine. It applies in full either way: if we miss it, you keep the 5% whether or not anything reminded us. Tracked as BLK-04.
6. Revisions and changes
| Package | Rounds included |
|---|---|
| Launch | 2 |
| Growth | 3 |
| Commerce | 3 |
| Platform | Scoped in the statement of work |
Further rounds are £200 each plus VAT. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted before it starts and you approve it in the client portal. We never add to an invoice without your agreement first.
7. Ownership
You own the content and the design of your site outright once you have paid in full. Until then we keep ownership of the work in progress.
We keep ownership of the underlying tools, frameworks, components and platform we build with, and of anything we developed before your project. Nothing in this agreement stops us reusing those.
We ask before showing your project in our portfolio or writing a case study about it, and we do not publish figures you have not confirmed.
8. Care plans
Every build includes a care plan. Care plans run for a minimum term of 12 months, then continue monthly until either of us gives 30 days' notice.
What each tier includes, the response times we commit to and the uptime we commit to are set out in our care-plan service level agreement.
If what your site contains changes — many more pages, a shop, a new integration — the monthly charge changes with it, at our published rate card. We quote it in the portal first and it takes effect from your next billing period, never retrospectively.
9. Liability
We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Our liability cap and how indirect loss is treated are being finalised with our solicitor before launch. Until they are published here, nothing on this page limits your rights. Tracked as OQ-47.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for later orders. Each version carries a date, and the version you accepted when you ordered is the one that applies to your project. If you need a copy of an earlier version, ask us and we will send it.
