Is this what you need?

This is for you if

  • A spreadsheet, an inbox and three tools are currently doing a job one system should do.
  • You need customers to log in and do something — book, order, quote, track, upload.
  • You have been quoted for this before and could not tell what you were buying.
  • You would rather pay for a week of scoping than accept a price somebody invented in an hour.

This is probably not for you if

  • What you actually need is a good website with a contact form. That is cheaper, faster and on another page.
  • You need it next week. Scoping alone is a week, and software quoted without scoping is how projects end up in dispute.
  • You want to pay by the hour with no ceiling. We do not sell that.

How it works

Two stages, and you can stop after the first with something useful in your hands either way.

  1. A discovery sprint, fixed price and one week. It produces written requirements, wireframes, a technical approach and a fixed quote for the build.
  2. If you proceed within sixty days, the sprint fee is credited in full against the build — so scoping properly costs you nothing if you go ahead.
  3. If you do not proceed, you keep the requirements, the wireframes and the quote, and you can take them to anybody.
  4. The build is then a fixed price from that scope, paid in stages against milestones you can see in your portal.

What it costs

A starting price rather than a fixed one, and the reason is honest: custom software cannot be priced before it is scoped, and a fixed number quoted blind is either padded or about to become a change request.
